Holy Missing Relatives! It’s Family History Month already?

If you want the history of Family History Month, well, Google it (shockingly, there is no Wikipedia entry). But lots of folks are posting what they are doing to celebrate. Family Tree University is offering gobs of classes; Lisa Alzo has published her goals and I know there are more out there.

I’ve only briefly thought of my goals (been busy with the day job) but here’s a quickly goal listing:

  • Start thinking about how to get family history info out to the family (and knock down some Christmas gifts at the same time) [own research]
  • Identify the genealogical services I’d like to provide [professional]
  • Get word out that I’m available for genealogical research and find a client or two [professional]
  • Set-up an editorial schedule for my blogging [professional and own-I guess]

I think that’s enough for now! Knowing me, I’ll add more on later. To reiterate Lisa’s question: what are your genealogy goals for the month?

And, just in case you were curious, “Holy Missing Relatives” was actually used in the original Batman TV series and someone (with WAY too much time on their hands) put this together:
